Office Assistant for Spiritual Life - BC

About the role#

The Office Assistant for Spiritual Life provides administrative support for the department. This is a part-time student worker position beginning in Fall 2026, with the potential to continue into future semesters. The role requires on-site work at the Bobo Spiritual Life Center.

What you'll do#

• Serve as the front desk receptionist, greeting visitors and answering inquiries.
• Manage daily mail duties, including dropping off outgoing mail and collecting incoming mail.
• Provide general office support, including making photocopies and maintaining files.
• Run errands and assist with various departmental projects and activities as needed.
• Set up and break down rooms for events.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in Business Administration, Human Resources, or Communications preferred.
• Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality regarding student information and sensitive situations.
• Proficiency with standard office software and ability to operate standard office equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms.
• Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 25 pounds, sustain prolonged sitting, and perform physical tasks like stooping, bending, and reaching.
• Ability to interact with tact and diplomacy in difficult situations.

Location & details#

• Location: Bobo Spiritual Life Center, Waco, Texas.
• Schedule: Up to 15 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
• Pay: $8.00 per hour.
