About the role#
Baylor University is hiring a student Office Assistant for the Spiritual Life department. This is a paid, on-site position based at the Bobo Spiritual Life Center in Waco, Texas. The role begins in Fall 2026 and is expected to continue into future semesters.
What you'll do#
- Serve as the front desk receptionist and greet visitors.
- Handle daily mail pickup and drop-off.
- Manage administrative tasks such as making photocopies and maintaining files.
- Run errands as requested.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down rooms for department events.
- Help with various projects and office tasks as needed.
What you'll need#
- Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality regarding student information.
- Proficiency with standard office software and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Capability to lift up to 25 pounds, sit for prolonged periods, and reach or bend as needed.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Tact and diplomacy when interacting with others.
- Majors in Business Administration, Human Resources, or Communications are preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Bobo Spiritual Life Center, Waco, TX.
- Schedule: Up to 15 hours per week, Monday through Friday between 8am and 5pm.
- Pay: $8.00 per hour.
