About the role#
The Office Assistant provides administrative support for the residential community at Kokernot Hall. This role serves as a primary point of contact for residents, visitors, and staff, ensuring the safety, security, and smooth operation of the residence hall.
What you'll do#
- Monitor door security and report issues to appropriate staff members.
- Provide administrative assistance to residents, including room access support and equipment check-outs.
- Maintain accurate log books for maintenance requests, equipment, lost and found items, and other administrative records.
- Assist residents in communicating concerns to hall staff.
- Enforce and uphold Campus Living & Learning policies and procedures.
- Complete additional administrative tasks as assigned by the Residence Hall Director.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in typing.
- Ability to learn and operate front desk computer programs.
- Strong customer service skills to support a diverse population.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Capability to handle administrative tasks and exercise sound judgment in responding to needs or crises.

- Location: Kokernot Hall, Waco, Texas.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $8.00 per hour.
- Schedule: Flexible hours between 7:00 am and 1:00 am, including some holiday break coverage.
