Student Worker - Summer Camp - Cyber Security Summer Camp Counselor

About the role#

As a Cyber Security Summer Camp Counselor, you will serve as a primary caregiver and instructor for campers. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading activities that help campers develop their cybersecurity skills within a safe and supportive environment.

What you'll do#

• Assist in the direction, supervision, and organization of campers during activities to meet intended program outcomes.
• Participate in the development and implementation of cybersecurity-focused program activities.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety for all campers and staff.
• Lead and assist with teaching activities and support the progression of camper interests.
• Act as a positive role model by upholding camp policies and safety procedures.
• Monitor equipment and facilities to ensure proper care and maintenance.

What you'll need#

• Must be at least 18 years of age or a high school graduate.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills in cybersecurity or designated camp program areas.
• Ability to interact effectively with all age levels and relate to youth and adults in a positive manner.
• Ability to observe behavior, enforce safety regulations, and apply behavior-management techniques.
• Physical ability to maintain constant supervision and lift up to 20 pounds.

Location & details#

• Location: Waco, Texas.
• Work Modality: On-site at the BRIC - Cyber Range.
• Term: Summer 2026 (June 15, 2026 – June 26, 2026).
• Compensation: $17 per hour.
• Schedule: 8 AM to 5 PM, totaling approximately 60-80 hours.
