Student Worker - Summer Office Assistant Position - North Village - BC

About the role#

This student worker position supports the Campus Living & Learning department at North Village. You will serve as a primary point of contact at the front desk, helping to maintain a safe, welcoming environment for residents throughout the summer term.

What you'll do#

• Monitor building activity to ensure resident safety, including observing entries and exits, addressing policy violations, and reporting suspicious behavior.
• Manage front desk operations, including processing check-ins and check-outs, handling package distribution, and assisting with lockouts.
• Provide customer service by answering questions, managing lost and found items, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
• Foster a positive community by greeting residents, learning names, and engaging in regular conversation.
• Assist with emergency procedures and monitor alarm panels as required.

What you'll need#

• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility regarding security protocols.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Previous experience in an administrative role is preferred.
• Open to students majoring in Business Administration, Communications, or Psychology.

• Location: North Village, Waco, Texas.
• Term: May 17, 2026 – August 17, 2026.
• Schedule: 10–40 hours per week.
• Compensation: $8 per hour.
