About the role#
Student Money Management Peer Coaches provide individualized guidance to students on personal finance topics. This includes budgeting, credit management, financial goal setting, saving, investing, and strategies for paying for college. Coaches work within the Student Success and Engagement department to connect peers with campus resources and support the development of financial wellness programming.
What you'll do#
- Provide one-on-one financial coaching to students.
- Facilitate workshops, presentations, and outreach efforts.
- Assist the Program Manager with creating financial wellness content and marketing materials.
- Connect students with relevant campus resources.
- Complete training on money management principles and coaching techniques.
- Perform other duties as required.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student, ideally in Finance, Business Administration, or Communications.
- Experience with marketing or social media.
- Experience with data collection and analysis.
- Interest in conducting academic literature reviews.
- Interest in presenting at professional or academic conferences.
Location & details#
- Location: Sid Richardson Building, Waco, Texas.
- Schedule: 10 hours per week, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Compensation: $10.00 per hour.
