Student Worker - Marketing and Fan Engagement Assistant

About the role#

This position offers an introductory opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in sports marketing, event production, and game presentation within the Baylor Athletics Department. The role is designed to provide exposure to the planning and coordination required to produce engaging fan experiences while supporting the department's mission and values.

What you'll do#

• Support the Marketing and Fan Experience staff with event preparation, production, and execution.
• Assist with in-venue game presentation elements, including fan interactive contests, sponsored promotions, giveaways, and on-field or in-stand activations.
• Create a fun, engaging, and family-friendly environment at athletics competitions and community events.
• Engage with fans and foster community relationships through activations such as Kids Zones and FanFest areas.
• Distribute marketing collateral, including flyers and posters, on campus and in the surrounding community.
• Participate in professional development and networking opportunities with department staff.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as a student at Baylor University.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Availability to work all home football games.
• Availability for a limited number of shifts during winter break.
• Interest in fields such as Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Graphic Design, or Media Studies.

• Location: Waco, Texas.
• Work Modality: On-site at Baylor University.
• Schedule: Approximately 10 hours per week.
• Compensation: $7.25 per hour.
