About the role#
Southern New Hampshire University is hiring a student employee to support the marketing and communications efforts of Building Communities in New Hampshire. This position provides hands-on experience in content creation, digital management, and administrative support within a nonprofit environment. The role requires on-site work in Manchester, NH.
What you'll do#
- Create and publish content for social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
- Photograph and record video footage at the office and during community events.
- Update and maintain website content, such as event listings and program pages.
- Draft copy for the organization's e-newsletter and coordinate with staff.
- Organize and maintain a digital library of marketing materials, photos, and videos.
- Provide general office support and assist with administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director to ensure all materials align with the organization's brand.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a SNHU degree program.
- An active work study award as part of your financial aid package.
- Reliable transportation.
- Proficiency with a smartphone or camera for taking photos and recording or editing video.
- Experience using social media platforms.
- Strong written communication and proofreading skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
- Experience with tools like Canva or WordPress is preferred, as is an interest in marketing or nonprofit communications.
Location & details#
- Location: Manchester, New Hampshire (On-site).
- Schedule: 20 hours per week, arranged around your class schedule.
- Compensation: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour.
