About the role#
Baylor University is hiring a student worker to assist faculty members and department heads in the Finance department. This role involves academic support, including grading, proctoring, and preparing materials for classroom instruction. You will work up to 10 hours per week in a flexible schedule.
What you'll do#
- Grade examinations, assignments, and papers while recording results.
- Proctor exams during class time.
- Develop teaching materials like syllabi, visual aids, answer keys, and supplementary notes.
- Copy and distribute classroom materials.
- Assist with academic support functions such as tutoring or supplemental instruction.
- Research and develop educational materials and identify training needs.
- Coordinate workshops, webinars, or educational sessions.
- Answer questions and resolve concerns for students and partners.
- Create content for training materials and present educational topics.
- Partner with leadership to align training initiatives with department goals.
- Ensure confidentiality of all student and department information.
What you'll need#
- Successful completion of FIN 4365 Investment Analysis in a previous semester with a grade of at least an A.
- Ability to follow all University policies.
- Consistent and punctual attendance.
Location & details#
- This position is based at the Paul L. Foster Campus for Business & Innovation, Suite 320, in Waco, Texas.
- The role is on-site and pays $12 per hour.
- Employment is on an ongoing, rolling basis.
