About the role#
The School of Information Technology at the University of Cincinnati is hiring Teaching Assistants for the Early IT Summer Camp. This is a paid, full-time co-op position for Summer 2027. You will work on-site to support a three-week program designed to teach high school students about cybersecurity, software development, game development, and cloud technologies.
What you'll do#
- Mentor high school students throughout the camp.
- Assist faculty with instructional content.
- Lead group discussions and hands-on activities.
- Answer student questions and provide guidance on projects.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate status in IT or Cybersecurity.
- Preference for 3rd-year students or above, though 2nd-year students are encouraged to apply.
- A genuine interest in working with high school students.
- Ability to facilitate small groups and keep them on task.
- Strong public speaking, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- A pro-active, problem-solving mindset.
