About the role#
The Office of Innovative Technology and Learning Design (OITLD) at the University of Cincinnati is looking for a student worker to join the Learning Design team. You will support faculty and staff with course design, multimedia projects, and technical tasks. This role is a chance to gain work experience while helping with the daily operations of the university.
What you'll do#
- Build and update courses in Blackboard and Canvas.
- Perform quality assurance reviews for courses and interactive media.
- Research, write, and edit technical how-to guides.
- Assist with on-site video shoots and edit video footage.
- Create video tutorials, branching scenarios, and interactive media using Adobe Captivate and Articulate Storyline.
- Support faculty and staff during training sessions.
- Provide Blackboard and Canvas troubleshooting and support.
- Assist with web conferences.
- Handle administrative tasks like tracking course builds and creating spreadsheets.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary or secondary school, at least part-time.
- Minimum age of 16.
- Ability to carry 25 pounds of equipment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Maturity, reliability, and professionalism.
- Ability to work as a self-starter with limited supervision.

- This position is located in Cincinnati, Ohio.
- The role is on-site and part-time.
- This is a paid position at $15 per hour.
- Hiring is on a rolling basis.
