About the role#
Baylor University is looking for outgoing and observant freshmen to join the Campus Services team as Student Experience Insiders. This role helps the university understand campus life from a first-year perspective. You will help identify ways to improve services across dining, retail, mail, copy and print, and catering.
What you'll do#
- Conduct secret-shopper evaluations of various campus service areas.
- Assess customer service, food quality, cleanliness, wait times, signage, and the general atmosphere.
- Provide honest, constructive feedback and recommendations based on your findings.
- Recognize staff members who provide exceptional service.
- Participate in focus groups, student surveys, advisory meetings, and special projects.
- Submit brief reports and evaluations after completing your assignments.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current Baylor freshman with a dining plan.
- A positive, curious, and observant mindset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability and the ability to work independently.
- A genuine interest in improving the student experience at Baylor.
Location & details#
- This position is located in Waco, Texas.
- Employment covers the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 terms.
- This is a part-time role requiring up to 10 hours per week.
- The pay rate is $12 per hour.
