About the role#
The Baylor Experience and Admissions Representative (BEAR) program is a student group within Undergraduate Admissions. BEARs serve as representatives of the university, sharing their personal experiences with prospective students, parents, and guests to support recruitment efforts. This role is based at the Hurd Welcome Center and focuses on providing professional service while demonstrating the character of the university.
What you'll do#
- Perform business operations duties for your assigned area.
- Provide customer service to prospective students, families, and university guests.
- Assist with various projects, activities, and tasks related to business operations.
- Conduct 90-minute walking tours of campus.
- Operate a golf cart shuttle following risk management approval.
- Assist with the setup and teardown of recruitment events.
- Maintain regular attendance and adhere to university policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student (minimum 12 credit hours) at Baylor University.
- Ability to work at least 8 hours per week, including 5 weekend events per semester.
- Availability to attend all mandatory training sessions and staff meetings.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 10-15 pounds.
- Strong communication skills, dependability, and a professional demeanor.

- This position is located at the Mark and Paula Hurd Center in Waco, Texas.
- The role is on-site and offers flexible scheduling built around your academic commitments.
- Candidates may begin in the Summer 2026 or Fall 2026 semester.
- This is a paid position.
