About the role#
The Office Assistant provides administrative support to the Honors Residential College at Baylor University. This position serves as a resource for residents, visitors, and staff while contributing to the safety and security of the residential community. You will assist with daily office operations and help maintain a welcoming environment for all members of the hall.
What you'll do#
- Monitor door security and report issues to the appropriate hall staff.
- Provide administrative support to residents, including room access and equipment check-out.
- Maintain accurate log books for unlock codes, maintenance requests, and equipment.
- Greet visitors and provide customer service in accordance with department standards.
- Help residents communicate concerns to hall staff.
- Assist with general clerical tasks, including filing, correspondence, data entry, and office organization.

- Proficiency in typing.
- Ability to learn and operate front desk computer software.
- Capability to handle administrative tasks and maintain confidentiality.
- Commitment to providing customer service to a diverse population.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong time management skills and sound judgment.

- Location: Honors Residential College, Waco, Texas.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Schedule: Flexible hours, ranging from 5 to 20 hours per week, including weekdays and weekends.
