About the role#
The Mental Health Outreach Fellow supports the Counseling Services department at Baylor University. This position focuses on promoting mental health resources through social media, event planning, and collaboration with student organizations. The fellow works closely with the Coordinator of Outreach Services to strengthen programming and outreach efforts.
What you'll do#
- Assist with social media outreach and marketing initiatives.
- Support the planning and implementation of outreach events, including tabling and workshops.
- Manage outreach materials and collect feedback to improve future programming.
- Attend committee meetings and assist with the Mental Health Ally Initiative.
- Coordinate and facilitate educational sessions, webinars, and workshops.
- Research and develop educational or training materials.
- Provide customer service to internal and external partners by answering questions and resolving concerns.
- Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent information.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a graduate student.
- Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Strong organizational skills to manage administrative tasks and training initiatives.
- Ability to comply with all university policies.
- Preferred fields of study include Psychology, Public Health, Communications, Nursing, Sociology, or Health Administration.
Location & details#
- Location: McLane Student Life Center, Waco, Texas.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Schedule: 20 hours per week, typically in 4-hour blocks.
- Compensation: $12.50 per hour.
