As a Software Engineering Intern at Base Power Company, you will ship production-grade code that impacts real-world energy systems. You will work across the entire stack, from firmware on home batteries and market-trading algorithms to internal operational tools and member-facing products. What you'll do#
- Design, build, and deploy software across the stack, including embedded systems, backend infrastructure, and user-facing products.
- Write code for real-world conditions where reliability is critical and failures have physical consequences.
- Develop internal tools to support market expansion, permitting, deployment complexity, and fleet operations at scale.
- Collaborate with hardware, deployment, and operations teams to solve interdisciplinary problems.
What you'll need#
- A strong foundation in software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and systems design.
- A demonstrated ability to build and ship working software through side projects, coursework, or prior internships.
- Clear, concise communication skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
