About the role#
The Accelerate internship program is a 10-week opportunity designed to help you explore different areas of the business. You will participate in professional development workshops, network with senior leadership, and visit field operations to see how your work influences daily activities. This is a full-time, paid position with an hourly rate of $30.00. There is a potential opportunity to extend the internship or transition to a full-time role based on performance and availability.
What you'll do#
- Complete annual schedules of concessionable revenue to meet airport year-end requirements.
- Maintain monthly account reconciliations by generating and comparing output from the Oracle Accounts Payable and ledger system.
- Identify and research reconciling items.
- Assist with gathering data for external airport auditors.
- Record journal entries in the Oracle general ledger during the monthly closing process.
- Analyze and reconcile account statements related to landlord financial discrepancies.
- Prepare ad-hoc analysis and special projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment at a college or university, with at least one year of coursework completed.
- Progress toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or a related business field.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Intermediate skills in Excel and solid PC skills, including MS Office.
- Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail.
