About the role#
The Accelerate IT Data Analytics internship is a 10-week program at Avis Budget Group. You will join the team to learn about the business, participate in professional development workshops, and network with senior leadership. This role offers the chance to work on real-world business problems while exploring different areas of the company.
What you'll do#
- Build and optimize data pipelines using Python, SQL, and PL/SQL.
- Develop and maintain dashboards in Tableau to track KPIs and provide insights to stakeholders.
- Extract, transform, and load data from Oracle databases.
- Partner with the advanced analytics team to apply AI and machine learning techniques to business challenges.
- Test, validate, and document datasets to support data quality and governance.
What you'll need#
- Foundational knowledge of Python, SQL/PLSQL, Tableau, and Oracle, gained through coursework or project experience.
- Curiosity for problem-solving and innovation.
- Interest in data engineering, analytics, and applying AI/ML to business needs.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively across technical and business teams.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Parsippany, New Jersey.
- The pay rate is $35 per hour.
- The program runs on a rolling basis.
