About the role#
Auto-Owners Insurance is looking for a student to join our User Experience team for a paid internship during the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Lansing, Michigan. You will work directly with our project teams and management to support our digital design and research efforts.
What you'll do#
- Review project assignments with management and project teams.
- Conduct and analyze user research, including usability studies, user interviews, and surveys.
- Develop information architecture for web development and user interactions.
- Use prototyping and graphics software to build design assets.
- Assist with other departmental duties as needed.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in college and entering your junior or senior year.
- Ability to apply problem-solving skills to build processes.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design, or Media Studies.
- Familiarity with CSS, HTML, XML, JavaScript, image editing, interface design, and usability testing is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Lansing, MI (on-site, 5 days per week).
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Compensation: Starts at $18.00 per hour.
- Eligibility: Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
