About the role#
AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Resilience and Emergency Management Intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will join our Los Angeles office to support a team focused on disaster recovery, infrastructure initiatives, and resilience planning for public-sector clients. This role offers hands-on experience in emergency management and project delivery.
What you'll do#
- Support resilience, emergency management, and grant projects through research, data collection, and document development.
- Review, organize, and maintain grant applications, reimbursement requests, and project records to ensure compliance with program standards.
- Prepare project deliverables including correspondence, meeting summaries, presentations, reports, maps, and briefing materials.
- Maintain project information across databases, spreadsheets, dashboards, and SharePoint sites.
- Conduct research and analysis, including data visualization, GIS support, and technical summaries.
- Perform quality assurance and quality control reviews on project documents and datasets.
- Collaborate with planners, engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to support project execution and planning activities.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours toward a degree by the start of the internship.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled productivity tools.
- Ability to learn SharePoint and other project-specific systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience with data entry, document review, research, and managing multiple assignments.
