About the role#
The AI Solutions & Automation Intern will help shape the future of Oncology Business Excellence (OBEX). You will identify opportunities where AI, automation, and digital workflows can simplify work, improve decision-making, and enhance business performance. You will work directly with senior partners to invent, prototype, and deploy AI-enabled applications using Microsoft Copilot, the Power Platform, and other enterprise tools.
What you'll do#
- Map and document workflows within OBEX capability areas to identify manual steps and opportunities for improvement.
- Partner with stakeholders to prioritize AI use cases based on business value, feasibility, and risk.
- Design and build workflow solutions, including copilots, AI agents, automations, and dashboards.
- Develop prototypes, prompts, agent instructions, and testing scripts.
- Test AI outputs for accuracy, usability, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support adoption through training materials, demos, office hours, and structured feedback collection.
- Track usage and productivity impact to inform future scaling.
- Maintain documentation regarding requirements, design decisions, and governance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of an undergraduate, graduate, or professional program in business, life sciences, health sciences, data analytics, computer science, engineering, digital innovation, or a related field.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Automate, SharePoint, Teams, Excel, or Power BI.
- Familiarity with process mapping, user requirements gathering, dashboarding, or workflow documentation.
- A basic understanding of prompt engineering, AI agents, automation logic, or data visualization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail regarding responsible AI use, data sensitivity, and compliance in a regulated environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
Location & details#
- This is a 12-month, full-time contract position based in Mississauga, Ontario.
- The role operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring employees to be in the office 3 days per week.
- The annual base salary range for this position is 42,908.00 to 56,316.75 CAD.
