About the role#
AstraZeneca offers a 10-week summer internship program at our manufacturing facility in Mt. Vernon, Indiana. This is a paid, full-time position running from May 17, 2027, to July 23, 2027. You will work 40 hours per week on-site. Each intern receives guidance from a mentor-supervisor and participates in job shadowing and educational sessions to understand site operations.
What you'll do#
- Perform daily tasks assigned by your mentor.
- Lead, execute, and report on a key project to site leadership and staff.
- Support cross-functional teams in planning and delivering site initiatives.
- Assist operations, engineering, and maintenance teams with equipment troubleshooting.
- Conduct lab-based testing and support analytical methods to maintain product quality.
- Contribute to functional areas including business operations, supply chain, finance, quality, engineering, and IT.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program or higher in a relevant field.
- An expected graduation date after August 2027.
- A basic understanding of the technical requirements for your specific functional area.
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A demonstrated ability to plan, implement, and achieve complex goals.
- US work authorization without the need for future sponsorship.
