About the role#
As a Data Migration and Analytics Intern, you will work with supply chain, data engineering, and analytics teams. You will help develop and maintain Pet Studio, a central analytics repository. This role involves data modeling, collection, and documentation, as well as front-end visualization and automation projects.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with teams to define and structure data models.
- Design and implement models using SQL within Snowflake and BigQuery.
- Assist in data collection and transformation using SQL and Google Apps Script.
- Perform data validation, cleansing, and transformation to ensure accuracy.
- Document data processes, models, and transformation workflows.
- Create and maintain interactive dashboards and reports.
- Work with stakeholders to understand their visualization needs and provide end-user support.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities using JavaScript, Snowflake, and Google Apps Script.
- Support the development and maintenance of Pet Studio in DOMO.
- Standardize presentations and workshops regarding Advanced Analytics and AI.
- Take notes during training sessions to help improve future processes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Ability to work 20 hours per week during the academic semester.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Capacity to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Basic understanding of data migration concepts and ETL processes.
- Experience with BI tools like SAP Analytics Cloud, Tableau, or Power BI is a plus.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or SQL is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, part-time internship.
- The role is based in Overland Park, Kansas.
- You must be available to work in a hybrid capacity at the Overland Park office throughout the co-op.
