About the role#
Assurant is seeking a part-time SOX Audit Intern to join our Financial Controls SOX Department. This role supports the team in meeting Sarbanes-Oxley requirements across multiple business segments. You will work in a remote capacity with a flexible schedule, supporting management testing and various internal audit processes.
What you'll do#
- Support SOX management testing.
- Assist with Model Audit Rule (MAR) management testing.
- Help with new process implementations.
- Provide support to external audit teams.
- Perform additional assignments as needed.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Status as a Junior graduating in 2028 or a Senior planning to continue education toward a master's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to start immediately.
- Strong PC skills, including Excel, Word, and Adobe.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- High problem-solving skills and a creative approach to tasks.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a team-oriented working style.
- Ability to learn quickly and collaborate effectively.

- This is a remote, part-time position.
