About the role#
The Assurant Internship Program is a 12-week immersive experience designed to build foundational technical and business skills. As a Manufactured Home Product Analysis Intern, you will support efforts to shape and improve manufactured home insurance products. You will gain exposure to the intersection of data, product strategy, and execution while working alongside experienced team members.
What you'll do#
- Analyze product performance, profitability, customer needs, and market trends to identify risks and opportunities.
- Turn data into clear reports, visualizations, and insights for team members and business partners.
- Conduct competitive and market research to support product decisions, including the development of state-specific competitive analysis documentation.
- Identify risk management concerns, analyze client-specific items, and suggest corrective actions.
- Gain exposure to product changes throughout the development lifecycle, including planning, quality assurance, regulatory filing, implementation, and post-launch analysis.
- Collaborate with teams such as Product Management, Actuarial, Underwriting, Sales, and Technology.
- Help identify opportunities to improve products, reporting, and team processes.
- Participate in team meetings, share ideas, and contribute to assigned projects.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Risk/Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Economics, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel including pivot tables, lookups, and data cleaning.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple assignments.
- A willingness to learn, ask questions, accept feedback, and collaborate with others.
- Experience working with data through coursework, academic projects, student organizations, or previous internships.
- Familiarity with data visualization concepts, tools, or exposure to SQL, Power BI, and automation/AI.
- An interest in insurance products, customer behavior, and market trends.
Location & details#
- Location: Miami, Florida (Waterford).
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 17, 2027 to August 7, 2027).
- Work Modality: Hybrid (2 days per week in office).
- Employment Type: Full-time, paid internship.
- Sponsorship: Candidates must be work authorized in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future.
