About the role#
As a Manufactured Housing Product Analysis Intern, you will participate in a 12-week program designed to provide real-world experience in product strategy and execution. You will work alongside team members to analyze product performance, identify market trends, and help shape the future of manufactured home insurance products. This role offers exposure to the full product development lifecycle, from initial planning to post-launch analysis.
What you'll do#
- Analyze product performance, profitability, and customer needs to identify risks and opportunities.
- Translate data into clear reports, visualizations, and actionable insights.
- Conduct competitive and market research, including the development of state-specific competitive analysis documentation.
- Identify and analyze client-specific risk management items and suggest corrective actions.
- Gain exposure to product development stages including planning, quality assurance, and regulatory filing.
- Collaborate across departments such as Product Management, Actuarial, Underwriting, Sales, and Technology.
- Help improve team processes, reporting, and product offerings.
- Participate in team meetings, share ideas, and contribute to ongoing projects.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Risk/Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Economics, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel skills like pivot tables, lookups, and data cleaning.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Experience working with data through academic projects, student organizations, or previous internships.
- Familiarity with data visualization concepts or tools.
- Exposure to SQL, Power BI, or similar reporting tools.
- Interest in insurance products, market trends, and automation or AI.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and a willingness to learn, ask questions, and accept feedback.
