About the role#
This co-op position supports the Imaging and Resection team in Naples, Florida. You will work alongside engineering staff on development projects for electromechanical medical devices, including consoles and power devices. The role is full-time and runs from January 2027 through June 2027.
What you'll do#
- Design parts and assemblies for new and existing products.
- Perform design characterization and feasibility testing.
- Construct test fixtures, test jigs, and measurement methods.
- Quantify the performance and reliability of devices in a benchtop setting.
- Evaluate R&D manufacturing methods to identify cost-saving solutions.
- Assemble, debug, and evaluate engineering prototypes.
- Support console reliability testing and data management.
- Assist with various R&D project investigations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student in a bachelor's or master's program for Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering.
- Recent graduates in these fields are eligible if they graduated within the last six months.
- Junior standing or higher is preferred.
- Completed coursework in electronics and software programming is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
