About the role#
Arisa Health offers a counseling internship for students seeking hands-on training in a clinical environment. This position focuses on providing person-centered care and gaining experience in assessment, treatment planning, and direct counseling services. We coordinate with your academic program to ensure you meet your specific requirements while developing professional skills.
What you'll do#
- Conduct assessments covering behavioral health, education, vocational needs, relationships, and community engagement.
- Collaborate with clients, families, and referral agencies to develop service or treatment plans.
- Deliver interventions based on client participation and specific needs.
- Link clients to community resources and support services.
- Document clinical work accurately and maintain confidentiality.
- Attend team and inter-agency meetings.
- Assist families and clients with aftercare planning.
- Partner with community organizations to help clients navigate systems of care.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master’s degree program for Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related licensure-track field.
- Completion of a Master’s-level practicum is preferred.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and a drug screening.
