About the role#
This is an advanced social work internship based in Jonesboro. You will gain practical experience in mental and behavioral health while working with our clinical teams. This role is paid and designed for students in their second placement or advanced studies.
What you'll do#
- Perform person-centered assessments regarding behavioral health, education, vocational needs, relationships, and community engagement.
- Collaborate with clients, their families, and referral agencies to create service or treatment plans.
- Deliver interventions based on client participation and specific needs.
- Connect clients with necessary community resources and support services.
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation.
- Participate in team and inter-agency meetings.
- Assist with aftercare planning for clients and families.
- Build relationships with community partners and help clients navigate systems of care.
- Engage in assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing therapy.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Social Work or a related licensure-track field.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Ability to pass a drug screening.
