About the role#
This is an advanced social work internship based in Corning, Arkansas. The position is paid and offered on a part-time basis for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site to gain clinical experience in a community mental health setting.
What you'll do#
- Conduct person-centered assessments covering behavioral health, education, vocational needs, relationships, and community engagement.
- Collaborate with clients, families, and referral agencies to develop service or treatment plans.
- Deliver interventions based on client participation and specific needs.
- Connect clients with necessary community resources and support services.
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation.
- Participate in team and inter-agency meetings.
- Assist clients and families with aftercare planning.
- Build relationships with community partners to help clients navigate systems of care.
- Engage in assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing therapy.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Social Work or a related licensure-track field.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and a drug screening.
