About the role#
Ardurra is hiring a Transportation Engineering Intern for the summer of 2027 in Seattle. This role provides exposure to real-world engineering projects that support municipalities and public agencies. You will work with a team of professionals to build your technical skills and gain experience in the civil engineering industry.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design and analysis of transportation infrastructure, such as roadways, drainage, and signage.
- Prepare engineering drawings, technical memoranda, reports, and specifications.
- Conduct transportation design, modeling, and engineering calculations.
- Participate in field investigations, site inspections, and data collection.
- Contact vendors for budgetary quotes and help develop construction cost estimates.
- Review design drawings for accuracy and adherence to standards.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Bluebeam.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with Bentley or Autodesk software is preferred.
