About the role#
Ardurra is hiring a Civil Engineering Intern for our Secaucus, New Jersey office. This role involves working under general supervision to apply standard engineering techniques to municipal and civil infrastructure projects. You will gain exposure to the full project lifecycle, from initial planning and design to permitting and construction.
What you'll do#
- Support engineers with project data collection, basic engineering calculations, reports, specifications, and schedules.
- Assist with civil and municipal design tasks, including roadway, drainage, stormwater, utility, water, wastewater, and site improvement projects.
- Prepare plans, exhibits, maps, and other design documents for municipal and infrastructure projects.
- Conduct field investigations and site visits to document existing infrastructure and site conditions.
- Review civil drawings, plans, and project documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with municipalities, utility companies, contractors, and project stakeholders as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid work ethic.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a team of professionals as well as independently.

- This is a paid, full-time internship.
