About the role#
Arconic is hiring Procurement Interns for the Summer 2027 term. This full-time, paid internship is based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. You will work within our global procurement team to support sourcing initiatives, supplier management, and continuous improvement projects in a heavy-manufacturing environment. You will collaborate with procurement professionals, operations leaders, finance teams, and suppliers to improve efficiency and support business objectives.
What you'll do#
- Support sourcing and procurement projects through research, analysis, and data collection.
- Analyze purchasing, spend, and supplier performance data to identify trends.
- Assist with supplier onboarding, compliance tracking, and performance initiatives.
- Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics using Excel and Power BI.
- Support procurement process improvement and standardization.
- Develop and update standard operating procedures and documentation.
- Participate in cross-functional projects with operations, finance, and supply chain teams.
- Review procurement transactions to identify improvements in accuracy and efficiency.
- Support category management and strategic sourcing activities, including market research and supplier evaluations.
- Present project results and findings to procurement leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business or Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Graduation date of late 2027, 2028, or May 2029.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Previous internships in supply chain or procurement.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and 365 products.
- Familiarity with Power BI.
- Knowledge of procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
- Exposure to ERP systems.
- Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement principles.
- Experience working with large data sets and business reporting tools.
