About the role#
Arconic is hiring an Electrical Engineer Intern for the Manufacturing, Technology, and Engineering team. This is a full-time, 10-week summer assignment. You will work on real-world projects that impact manufacturing performance, reliability, and safety. Each intern receives support from a manager and a mentor to help build technical and professional skills. You will also have opportunities to network with leaders and participate in company events.
What you'll do#
- Support operational projects and strategic initiatives.
- Provide engineering support to maintenance and operations teams.
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues while assisting with corrective actions.
- Support equipment repairs, rebuilds, and restoration efforts.
- Develop and improve maintenance and repair procedures.
- Assist with equipment upgrades and process improvements.
- Promote quality, safety, environmental stewardship, and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement engineering solutions.
- Present project findings and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership at the end of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Expected graduation between August 2027 and May 2028.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States (visa sponsorship is not available).
- Ability to meet export control compliance requirements under ITAR and EAR regulations.
- Interest in manufacturing, automation, controls, industrial systems, or reliability engineering.
- Previous internship, co-op, research, or manufacturing experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated teamwork, initiative, and leadership experience.
