    About the role#

    Arconic is hiring an Electrical Engineer Intern for the Manufacturing, Technology, and Engineering team. This is a full-time, 10-week summer assignment. You will work on real-world projects that impact manufacturing performance, reliability, and safety. Each intern receives support from a manager and a mentor to help build technical and professional skills. You will also have opportunities to network with leaders and participate in company events.

    What you'll do#

    • Support operational projects and strategic initiatives.
    • Provide engineering support to maintenance and operations teams.
    • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues while assisting with corrective actions.
    • Support equipment repairs, rebuilds, and restoration efforts.
    • Develop and improve maintenance and repair procedures.
    • Assist with equipment upgrades and process improvements.
    • Promote quality, safety, environmental stewardship, and operational excellence.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement engineering solutions.
    • Present project findings and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership at the end of the internship.

    What you'll need#

    • Current pursuit of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
    • Expected graduation between August 2027 and May 2028.
    • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
    • Legal authorization to work in the United States (visa sponsorship is not available).
    • Ability to meet export control compliance requirements under ITAR and EAR regulations.
    • Interest in manufacturing, automation, controls, industrial systems, or reliability engineering.
    • Previous internship, co-op, research, or manufacturing experience.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
    • Demonstrated teamwork, initiative, and leadership experience.

    • Locations: Davenport, Iowa or Alcoa, Tennessee.
    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Compensation: This is a paid position.
