About the role#
This is a paid, on-site student worker position based at Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania. You will assist with food service and catering operations on campus. This role is open on a rolling basis and is suitable for students pursuing a degree in Business Administration.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items using standardized recipes.
- Store food products correctly according to safety standards.
- Set up, break down, clean, and sanitize workstations like prep tables, service counters, and hot wells.
- Serve food to customers and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Replenish food items and maintain stock levels.
- Follow safety policies and ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Ability to demonstrate guest service skills.
- Must hold or be willing to acquire a food safety certification.
- Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear uniforms or personal protective equipment as required.
