About the role#
As a Dietetic Student Peer-to-Peer, you act as a health and wellness ambassador for Florida State University Dining Services. This role provides hands-on experience in nutrition education, campus outreach, and communications. You will support marketing initiatives and dining promotions while gaining professional insight into the field of dietetics.
What you'll do#
- Conduct menu audits for campus dining halls.
- Manage the Worry-Free Zone, including inventory, stocking, and general cleanliness.
- Create at least two social media posts each week and assist with video content.
- Host health and wellness educational tabling events, handling setup, breakdown, and cleanup.
- Educate students on campus dining options, meal plans, and the advantages of eating on campus.
- Support catering and dining operations during special events and game days.
- Collaborate with various departments to assist with operational and promotional tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in the Florida State University Dietetic Program, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics.
- A strong interest in nutrition, health promotion, and student engagement.
- Proficiency with social media platforms, Canva, Microsoft Office, and Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to meet physical requirements, including standing and walking for extended periods, as well as lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling.
