About the role#
As a Business Development Representative Co-op, you will support the sales team while gaining exposure to the full sales cycle. You will work with clients across various industries who use Microsoft and NetSuite platforms to improve their business processes. This role is designed for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit who wants to develop their sales skills through hands-on experience, feedback, and collaboration with experienced leaders.
What you'll do#
- Manage and follow through on leads generated from your own prospecting efforts.
- Reach out to potential clients through cold calls and emails.
- Schedule and conduct a set number of face-to-face meetings with prospective clients each week.
- Build and maintain relationships with both new and existing clients.
- Gather project requirements and draft business proposals.
- Serve as a liaison between the Consulting, Sales, and other business units.
- Provide the sales team with information on how our products address specific client needs.
- Assist the sales team in identifying and pursuing large revenue opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university business program with a mandatory co-op requirement.
- Strong interest in sales and marketing.
- Ability to analyze data, build reports, and use quantitative insights to make recommendations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, plus knowledge of Google Sheets and GSuite.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Experience or interest in working with Salesforce, NetSuite, Google Analytics, and paid advertising.
- Understanding of website traffic metrics and data-driven performance optimization.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a focus on teamwork.
