About the role#
APCO is hiring seniors and recent graduates for a full-time, paid internship within our Geo-Commerce practice. You will gain experience in strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, and policy advocacy. Interns are treated as professional staff, participating in team meetings and contributing to client work and firm initiatives. This role offers exposure to the intersection of global policy, economic strategy, and corporate reputation.
What you'll do#
- Monitor news and policies related to international relations, including trade, supply chain, investment restrictions, economic sanctions, data and cybersecurity, and national security.
- Draft analytical pieces on policies, current events, and business trends.
- Identify stakeholders, media, and influencers relevant to these topics.
- Contribute to brainstorming and team discussions.
- Provide administrative support such as translation, data collection, note-taking, and credential compilation.
What you'll need#
- Demonstrated interest in communications, international affairs, or political science.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
- Excellent written, oral, and research skills.
- Strong critical thinking abilities and an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multi-task and work independently.
- US Work Authorization is required. We are unable to consider candidates with CPT, OPT, or Post-OPT status.
