About the role#
APCO is hiring seniors and recent graduates for a full-time, paid internship within our Corporate Reputation practice for Winter 2027. You will work alongside professional staff, participate in team meetings, and contribute to the growth of client projects. This program runs from January 12, 2027, to May 21, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Monitor news, policy developments, and social media to identify opportunities and threats for client positioning.
- Conduct research on industry trends, stakeholder expectations, and reputational risks.
- Draft memos, media materials, briefings, and other communications deliverables.
- Assist in the development of thought-leadership content, executive visibility materials, and storytelling assets.
- Help prepare client proposals and compile media contact lists.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- You are a recent college graduate or a senior in your final year of study.
- You have a demonstrated interest in communications, public relations, or journalism.
- You possess strong written, oral, and research skills.
- You are organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently on multiple tasks.
- You are comfortable working in a distributed team environment.
- You have a strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- You are able to work 40 hours per week.
- You must have US work authorization. We cannot consider candidates requiring CPT, OPT, or Post-OPT status.
Location & details#
- This internship is based in Raleigh, New York City, or Chicago.
- The role is hybrid, with a 40-hour work week.
- Compensation is set at a fixed hourly rate of $18.40.
