About the role#
APCO is hiring seniors and recent graduates for a full-time, paid internship. You will gain insight into the healthcare sector, including its policy, regulatory, and reputational challenges. Interns are treated as professional staff, participating in team meetings and contributing to the growth of client work.
What you'll do#
- Monitor news and policies related to the healthcare industry.
- Draft analytical pieces on healthcare issues, current events, and business trends.
- Assist with drafting and editing client deliverables.
- Identify relevant stakeholders and potential influencers.
- Develop monthly new business reports.
- Contribute to brainstorms and communications plans.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Demonstrated interest in healthcare, communications, or public relations.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
- Strong critical thinking and research skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Comfort collaborating with a distributed team.

- Location: Raleigh, North Carolina.
- Modality: Hybrid.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 12 to May 21, 2027).
- Compensation: $18.40 per hour.
