About the role#
Milliman’s CMH Health Practice is hiring a Pharmacy Analytics Intern for the fall of 2026. This full-time, temporary role supports our pharmacy group in helping clients navigate the complex healthcare industry through data-driven solutions. You will work alongside experienced pharmacy and healthcare consultants on real-world assignments, including pricing, financial projections, and model development.
What you'll do#
- Learn about qualitative and financial evaluations of PBM contracts, including pricing and fee schedules.
- Develop models to conduct detailed analyses of pharmacy data, such as pharmacy claims and eligibility data.
- Acquire, standardize, and merge various data sets to provide summarized reports.
- Observe and contribute to drafting proposals, presentations, exhibits, RFPs, and reports.
- Analyze pharmacy financial data and contribute to technical project work.
- Observe consulting activities related to reserving, forecasting, and mergers and acquisitions.
- Work both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in math, finance, pharmacy, computer science, economics, or statistics, or recent graduation in these fields.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, time management, and communication skills.
- A detail-oriented approach and an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Previous internship or relevant work experience.
- Familiarity with pharmacy reimbursement in the United States.
- Prior experience working with U.S. healthcare claims is preferred.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Term: September to December 2026.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Modality: On-site in Brookfield, WI, Chicago, IL, or Windsor, CT, though remote candidates will be considered.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
