About the role#
APCO is hiring seniors and recent graduates for a full-time, paid Design & Production Internship. This program runs from January 12, 2027, to May 21, 2027. You will work alongside creative directors, designers, producers, and writers to develop brand content and client stories.
What you'll do#
- Support internal teams with multimedia creative projects.
- Handle photo sourcing, retouching, and file management.
- Apply edits to print and digital materials, including social media graphics and one-pagers.
- Prepare and edit PowerPoint presentations and Word documents.
- Monitor news events, research topics, and analyze findings.
- Contribute to social media content creation and client proposals.
What you'll need#
- Senior standing or recent college graduate status.
- A portfolio demonstrating expertise in design, typography, composition, and color.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, XD).
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- US Work Authorization (we cannot consider candidates with CPT/OPT/Post-OPT status).
- Previous agency or in-house experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of project management software, wireframing, prototyping, or HTML/CSS is a plus.
Location & details#
- Locations: New York, NY; Washington, DC; or Raleigh, NC.
- Modality: Hybrid. You will work from the office Tuesday through Thursday and have the flexibility to work from home on Mondays and Fridays.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship at a rate of $18.40 per hour.
