About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Procurement/Buyer Co-op position for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site in Quincy, Massachusetts. This role requires an in-person commitment of 16 to 24 weeks.
What you'll do#
- Support cross-functional projects to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.
- Partner with engineering and manufacturing teams to identify the best sources.
- Identify and execute cost reduction projects.
- Manage production work orders and understand the product BOM.
- Place purchase orders and resolve downstream issues with finance and accounting.
- Work with the supply base to ensure compliance with commercial terms and agreements.
- Analyze supplier data to identify trends and opportunities for supply chain optimization.
- Support strategic sourcing initiatives and make/buy decisions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Must be returning to school at the end of the internship to continue academic studies.
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
- Experience with Excel and Oracle or a similar ERP system.
- Knowledge of supply chain planning best practices.
- Expertise in commercial and FAR/DFAR procurement rules and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Must be a U.S. Person. U.S. clearance eligibility may be required depending on the program.
