    About the role#

    As a Manufacturing Engineering Co-op, you will work alongside engineers, quality professionals, and production teams. You will support real projects that impact product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This role offers the chance to apply your classroom knowledge while building practical skills in engineering, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.

    What you'll do#

    • Lead a project to review and update tolerances on released assembly drawings using SolidWorks.
    • Collaborate with Quality, Design Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to ensure design updates meet requirements and standards.
    • Participate in engineering change activities that support product performance and manufacturability.
    • Partner with technicians and engineers to identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and increase operational efficiency.
    • Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects on the production floor.
    • Collect, organize, and analyze manufacturing data using Minitab, Excel, and other tools.
    • Identify trends, investigate production challenges, and help develop solutions that improve quality and productivity.
    • Develop and update manufacturing documentation including Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, Process Flow Diagrams, and Engineering Change Documentation.
    • Assist with equipment maintenance, validation, and calibration activities.
    • Help ensure manufacturing equipment operates safely and efficiently.
    • Work closely with teams across Engineering, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, and R&D.
    • Gain exposure to the full product lifecycle.
    • Support a culture of safety by following established policies and best practices.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
    • Experience with or willingness to learn SolidWorks and engineering drawing interpretation.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Previous internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
    • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies is preferred.
    • Experience using ERP systems or manufacturing software is preferred.
    • Familiarity with statistical analysis and data visualization tools is preferred.
    • SolidWorks certification or advanced CAD experience is preferred.
