About the role#
AMETEK seeks a Human Resources Intern for our facility in Waterbury, Connecticut. This part-time position provides administrative and operational support to the HR team. You will work directly with the Human Resources Manager on daily activities and projects to gain experience in core HR processes.
What you'll do#
- Support employee engagement initiatives and coordinate company events.
- Plan and assist with community outreach and volunteer activities.
- Maintain and update employee data in the HRIS, including new hires and organizational changes.
- Manage documentation for onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Assist with recruiting tasks like job postings, interview scheduling, and tracking candidates.
- Support HR audits, reporting, and compliance tasks.
- Coordinate training sessions and update job descriptions.
- Provide general administrative help to the HR department.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Human Resource Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity and work quality.
- Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
- Verbal fluency in Spanish is preferred.
