    About the role#

    The School of International Service Office of International Programs is hiring a Graphic Design Assistant. This part-time role supports the office by creating marketing materials, managing digital content, and assisting with visual storytelling. You will work 10 hours per week in an on-site capacity.

    What you'll do#

    • Create promotional graphics and materials for study abroad programs, including flyers, digital signage, and newsletter graphics.
    • Build out and maintain a SharePoint site.
    • Assist with content updates for the website and the study abroad application portal.
    • Develop resources for students and faculty, such as visual guides, presentation slides, and program information sheets.
    • Support visual storytelling initiatives while maintaining university branding.

    What you'll need#

    • Must be a current American University student and eligible for Federal Work-Study.
    • Strong interest in graphic design, visual communications, marketing, or digital media.
    • Basic ability to use content creation tools like Canva.
    • Prior experience with Microsoft Office 365.
    • Ability to work independently and collaborate with staff to meet deadlines.
