About the role#
The Kogod School of Business is seeking a research-oriented student to support a professor focused on marketing research, teaching processes, and social change. This role is open to currently enrolled American University students who are independent and motivated.
What you'll do#
- Create and format diagrams, charts, graphs, and PowerPoint slides for class presentations.
- Review, summarize, and integrate key points from academic articles.
- Identify practical marketing activities and articles for class use.
- Perform project-specific outreach to external partners.
- Maintain and enhance the professor's social media and networking presence.
- Provide administrative support such as data entry and meeting notes.
What you'll need#
- Excellent reading comprehension, writing, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of online library databases and academic research resources.
- Experience acquiring, managing, and synthesizing information on business and social research topics.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Interest in marketing, race, or social change is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Washington, DC (Main Campus).
- Modality: Remote and on-site flexibility.
- Hours: 10 hours per week.
- Compensation: $20.00 per hour.
- Status: Part-time, non-exempt.
