    About the role#

    American University is hiring a Teaching Assistant for the Fall 2026 course GOVT 105, Individual Freedom v. Authority. This is a part-time, on-site position at the main campus in Washington, DC. The role requires 3 hours of work per week.

    What you'll do#

    • Run a weekly one-hour discussion section for students.
    • Provide support and availability to students enrolled in the course.
    • Meet regularly with the professor to discuss class progress.
    • Coordinate section topics throughout the academic term.
