About the role#
The Financial Crimes Risk and Controls team is looking for an intern to join their data analytics and reporting efforts. You will work alongside technology, business, and compliance teams to manage financial crime risk. This position is for bachelor's degree candidates who want to apply data skills to risk management and control development.
What you'll do#
- Analyze financial crime data to find trends, anomalies, emerging risks, and potential control gaps.
- Use SQL, Python, and other data analysis tools to work with large and complex datasets.
- Translate your analytical findings into clear, practical recommendations.
- Suggest potential controls and process improvements to help reduce financial crime risk.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of existing financial crime controls.
- Prepare presentations and summaries for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, or a related field.
- An expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, and data analysis or visualization tools.
- Ability to analyze data, identify meaningful insights, and develop data-driven recommendations.
- An interest in financial services, financial crime risk management, and control development.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
