About the role#
The Credit and Fraud Risk (CFR) function at American Express is responsible for making risk decisions that drive growth and innovation. As an intern in the Product Innovation, Credit & Fraud Risk program, you will join the Risk Products team to help bring risk strategies to life. You will collaborate with partners in technology, marketing, finance, and compliance to build analytical capabilities that minimize risk and improve the customer experience.
What you'll do#
- Define product vision, create and execute product roadmaps, and communicate with stakeholders.
- Manage the implementation of risk products, including design, testing, integration, and launch using low-code tools.
- Analyze data to assess product performance and inform future development.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to define product features, user stories, and business requirements.
- Create presentations, product requirement documentation, and status updates for leadership.
- Identify and design reusable components within the risk product ecosystem to eliminate process inefficiencies.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a full-time bachelor’s degree program, with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Demonstrated interest in digital technologies and customer-driven design.
- Proficiency in analytical and presentation tools, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and pay close attention to detail.
- Pursuit of a degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics is preferred.
