About the role#
We are looking for a Parachute Engineer intern to join our team for the Fall 2026 term. This temporary role lasts up to 12 weeks and involves working directly with our Parachute Team in Houston. You will assist with testing, data analysis, and design assessments related to our projects.
What you'll do#
- Support the planning, real-time execution, and post-test assessment of parachute tests.
- Analyze post-flight data and investigate anomalies as they arise.
- Evaluate design changes, requirement variances, and potential risks.
- Work within a team, reporting your progress and any issues to the team lead.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited university engineering program, specifically on a track for a BS degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
- Completion of at least 45 credit hours with a minimum 2.8 GPA.
- Experience with inspecting, configuring, and analyzing parachutes for field tests.
- Ability to prepare written documents, present information in meetings, and organize tasks with limited supervision.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
